PLACES TO EAT NEAR KNIGHTON
Thinking of what to do for lunch or dinner when staying with us at Panpwnton Campsite? We permit barbecues and open flame fires on-site, so you are more than welcome to bring your own food and cook for yourself.
Once you are finished with your meal, we also have a washing-up area so you can clean up all your utensils and equipment before packing them away.

The Banc Knighton
Housed in a 1980s bank, The Banc in Knighton is a modern restaurant and bar that serves high-quality food and drink for great prices.

The Horse and Jockey Inn
Located in the centre of Knighton, The Horse and Jockey Inn offers both food and drinks to patrons.
Situated in a 14th-century coaching inn, the Horse and Jockey offer a cosy atmosphere inside with its original beams and open fires, in addition to a spacious picturesque courtyard outside.
Welcoming everyone and their dogs (literally), The Horse and Jockey Inn is a great choice for a traditional pub experience in Knighton.
The Radnorshire Arms
Located along the Teme Valley on the B4355, The Radnoshire Arms is a beautiful 17th-century building. Formerly a drover’s inn, the interior is cosy and welcoming and is accompanied by a big beer garden out the back.

Little Black Sheep Cafe
An amazing little Cafe and Coffee Shop, the Little Black Sheep Cafe is a favourite among the locals of Knighton. Freshly preparing everything in-house, they pride themselves on only using locally sourced ingredients from farms in and around the Radnorshire area.
Guilty of visiting a little too often ourselves, The Little Black Sheep Cafe offers baked hearty homecooked meals, sandwiches, salads, savoury baked goods and more sweet desserts than you can shake a stick at.
Favoured by walkers and cyclists, the Castle Inn is located just 2 miles outside of Knighton town centre and just a short walk off both Offa’s Dyke and Glwyndwr’s Way walking routes.
Known for its peaceful surroundings, the Castle Inn is both a restaurant and a public house. The food menu offers generously-sized meals made from locally sourced ingredients where possible, with their signature ‘King of Pie’ at the top of its long list of homemade pie meals.
They also offer a selection of other options, including Thai food freshly prepared to order by the owner and a wide selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes.
The most popular pick if you want food on the move, or to enjoy back at Panpwnton campsite, Knighton Plaice is more than just a fish and chip shop.
Providing a wide selection of choices, the Knighton Plaice menu includes all of the traditional fish and chip shop favourites alongside freshly prepared kebabs, burgers, fried chicken, vegetarian options and more.

THE GEORGE & DRAGON INN
Located in the centre of Knighton The George and Dragon is a Coaching Inn that sits within a 17th-century listed building.
Boasting a separate restaurant space that is filled with historical pictures and documents from Knighton’s history, it is a great cosy spot to enjoy freshly cooked meals available at both lunch and dinner.

Pizza 51 is a family run business situated in the stunning 16th Century cozy pub, The Golden Lion.
Providing home-made wood-fired neapolitan style pizzas, either for take away or to have with us whilst you enjoy a delicious pint and the latest sporting highlights on Sky or BT Sports.
Available to order via the Storekit website, social media or by calling the pub and leaving a voicemail. Pizza 51 is open on Saturdays between 4pm to 9pm and Sundays 4pm to 8pm.
